Thanks for your interest in our hometown, Macon, Mississippi. With a history stretching back to its founding in 1835, Macon, is a small, friendly town in east central Mississippi. 

Located at the intersection of US Highway 45 and Mississippi Highway 14, there is an approximate 30 minute driving time to Columbus, West Point, and Starkville in Mississippi, and Macon is conveniently situated halfway between Mobile, AL and Jackson, TN. 

If you are traveling along Highway 45, we are a great place for a rest stop along your journey.

When you visit, you will find good, neighborly folks happy to serve you in their shops and stores and equally happy to take a moment and visit. If you decide you might like to stay a little longer, you’ll find a welcoming community with some comfortable, affordable homes and a low cost of living.
