The City Attorney, Roderick D. Walker, serves as the chief legal counsel
for the City of Macon and is hired by and serves at the will of the
City Board of Aldermen.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary functions of the City Attorney include:

Providing legal advice to the City Board of Aldermen, City officials,
and City departments in connection with City business.
- Drafting and
reviewing ordinances, resolutions, contracts, leases, deeds, and other
legal documents.

Representing
the City in civil matters including enforcement of building codes,
business license codes, and abating unlawful activities.

Responding
to critical incidents and disasters.
